Honoring Our Military with Each At Bat
What a day! The sun was out, the energy was high, and the PineRiders community came together in force to make Swing for the Brave one of our most competitive and heartfelt tournaments yet.
This event wasn’t just about the scoreboard — it was about community, camaraderie, and giving back. Together, we raised $2,575 for Homeless Veterans Services of Dallas, supporting local vets with housing, resources, and hope.

🎯 Skills Challenge Results
We launched our first-ever 3-Minute Skills Challenge at Swing for the Brave — and while it started with a few raised eyebrows and hesitant laughs, it quickly turned into one of the most talked-about moments of the day.
Early on, most players weren’t quite sure what to make of it. A few walked past the setup, glanced at the targets, and kept going. But all it took was one competitor stepping up, giving it a shot, and drawing a crowd. Then it clicked.
“Alright, let me see if I can beat that.”“Wait, what’s my score?”“One more try?”
From that point on, the energy was contagious. Teammates started lining up, challenging each other, and the competitive spirit took over — all in good fun. And for a first-time run, it couldn’t have gone better.
💪 Top 3 Finishers:
Kurtis – 67 pts
James – 61 pts
A huge shoutout to all who participated — the fielding competition alone had us all holding our breath!
🎤 Vendors & Community
We were proud to feature a vendor lineup that added fun, flavor, and support to the day:
Homeless Veterans Services of Dallas – Community tent
Okee Dokie Karaoke – On-site DJ and Announcements
The Drip Sisters – Mobile IV hydration and wellness
Dragonfire Designz – Veteran-crafted merch and gear
X4 Athletics – Athletic apparel and player uniforms
Thank you for showing up and showing love to these local businesses!
🎉 Final Takeaway
From powerful on-field moments to touching conversations at the HVSD tent, Swing for the Brave reminded us what this series is all about: playing with purpose. This isn’t just softball — it’s a platform to uplift the people who’ve sacrificed for our freedoms.
Whether you donated, played, coached, or cheered from the sidelines — thank you. Let’s keep swinging for a cause.
