Swing for Holiday Smiles: Uplifting kids who need it most
Some tournaments are remembered for walk-off hits and championship moments.Others are remembered for something even bigger.
Swing for Holiday Smiles was one of those tournaments.
Originally scheduled for November 22, Mother Nature had other plans. After a week of heavy rain, the complex made the tough call to cancel. But this community doesn’t quit that easily. We regrouped, rescheduled, and brought the tournament back to life the following weekend on November 29.
And then… the rain came back. 🌧️
Halfway through tournament day, with fields becoming unplayable, we were forced to call the event early. Not exactly the ending anyone hoped for—but what happened next is what truly mattered.
Six Teams. One Cause. Unmatched Heart.
Despite the weather setbacks, six dedicated teams showed up ready to compete, support one another, and rally behind a meaningful cause. The energy was high, the vibes were strong, and the generosity was overwhelming.
This tournament wasn’t just about softball—it was about showing up for kids in our community during the holidays.
The support for Toys for Tots – Northeast Texas was incredible, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the heart our PineRiders family continues to show.
Every dollar and every toy represents a child who will experience a little more joy this holiday season—and that’s a win no scoreboard can measure.
Thank You, PineRiders Family 💚
To the players, coaches, teams, partners, and supporters who stuck with us through unpredictable weather and shifting plans—thank you. Your flexibility, generosity, and commitment to giving back are what make PineRiders more than an organization. You make it a community.
Swing for Holiday Smiles may not have finished the way we planned, but it delivered exactly what it promised: holiday smiles, community impact, and proof that when challenges arise, this group shows up anyway.
We can’t wait to keep building moments like this together.
